The Standard version provides only the base game. However, nothing will ever prepare you for how fast-paced Spider-Man 2 feels. It feels like the PS5’s SSD is firing on all pistons. Thanks to the next-gen muscle power of the PS5, the ‘showcase-sequel’ Miles Morales works and feels faster than ever. The chances of experience loading screens are almost negligible. And no matter how busy your display gets, you will always have a seamless gaming experience.

The standard edition comes with an increased pace so it might take you a while to get used to the overall gameplay. But once you do, there's no coming back! Speaking of traversing through the map, you may already know by now that Spider-Man 2’s world is twice the size of the previous games, thanks to the addition of Brooklyn and Queens boroughs alongside Manhattan. 

To assist faster traversal, Insomniac has added the Web Wings ability, which allows your character to zip through the city rapidly. You will also experience no lag while in flight mode. You can also invert controls and do all sorts of tweaks to the overall gameplay. But it would be better to swing and wing around the map in the beginning to get a good grasp of the game.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 offers two graphics modes on the PS5 — Fidelity and Performance. The latter targets 60 frames per second, which feels refreshingly smoother. However, the ray-tracing features are turned down to almost negligible. But still the action sequences and the general brawls remain sleek and swift.

In the Fidelity mode, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 really starts to showcase the beast that it’s intended to be. The ray tracing gets dialled up to max and every little graphic detail jumps to life which includes the leaves, reflection of water and more. Even the pedestrians and traffic densities get maxed as well. Thus, making the game city feel like a living, breathing entity.

Although it only offers 30 frames per second, thanks to the Insomniac’s solid gameplay design, the game doesn’t feel slow at all. Besides the in-game Photo Modes, especially the Sphere Light, helps easily light up darker frames like no other. The controls are simple, and it is highly recommended to play around with the lights to get the best possible frame. 

With the witty dialogues and availability of memorable moments from the set piece, we are sure that the 'true believers' would be quite happy.
