What Are the Best Ways to Customise the Look of Your Laptop?

There are many ways to customise your laptop. You can customise your laptop’s software, hardware, and external devices that you connect to your laptop. There are endless possibilities: 

Custom wallpaper: Custom wallpapers allow you to give a personal touch to your home screen, the very first thing you see when you open your laptop. It could be your favourite food item or your favourite artwork displayed. You can do so in the Settings app on your laptop, under Personalisation> Background > select your favourite picture. 

Add widgets or gadgets: Widgets and gadgets add functionality and give your laptop a whole new look. You can add a calendar, a sticky note, or a big clock. And you don’t need to stop at one or two; you can add as many widgets and gadgets as you want. Press the Windows + W shortcut, and it will lead you to the widget board.

Select the widgets and gadgets you want to customise, adjust their size, and apply them! You now have widgets on your laptop home screen. 

Stickers and keyboard cover: Stickers and keyboard cover enhance the outer look of your laptop. Your sticker could be of your favourite show, a coffee mug if you’re a coffee enthusiast, or even just a witty sticker resembling your personality. You can get a keyboard cover of your favourite colour to give the outside of your laptop a personal touch. 

Custom icons: Another favourite customising option is customising their icons. Give it a fresh, new look rather than regular boring icons. You can find an image you want to use as a template for your icons, or you can use an online tool to do so. You can choose to change individual icons or do so with a desktop theme. 

You can change icons by right-clicking on a space on the desktop and clicking on Personalise > Themes > Related Settings > Desktop Icons. Select the icon you want, and then click Change Icon.  

Multiple desktops: Multiple desktops allow you to have several desktops on a single laptop, making it easier to separate work and personal life, even on a single laptop. Multiple desktops will enable you to work on different tasks at once. You can access various desktops by using the Task View feature or by pressing Windows + Tab to access another desktop.
